By accessing or using Spendip ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Spendip is a web-based expense tracker that allows users to record, categorize, and analyze personal and shared expenses across trips and time periods. The Service is provided free of charge.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into Spendip. We store your data on secure cloud infrastructure (Railway / PostgreSQL) to provide the Service. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

• We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the Service.
• You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us.
• We are not responsible for data loss caused by infrastructure outages or events outside our control.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Spendip to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Submit false or misleading information

6. Third-Party Services

Spendip uses Google OAuth for authentication. Use of Google Sign-In is subject to Google's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spendip and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
